Our mission: To provide excellence in health care for women at all stages of their lives and at the same time to excel in teaching and research.

The Helen Schneider Hospital for Women at Rabin Medical Center serves patients from all areas of Israel, offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services including management of high risk pregnancies, the complete spectrum of assisted reproductive technologies – and close to 8,500 births a year. It offers top-quality medical and surgical treatment for cancer or precancerous conditions of the reproductive tract, extensive classical, endoscopic and uro-gynecological surgery and sonographic diagnosis and treatment.

We advocate an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to health care with an emphasis on 'evidence-based' effective health care. All staff members are involved in our Continuous Quality Improvement program.

Over eighty senior physicians and residents, supported by over 350 nurses, midwives and other medical professionals provide comprehensive medical services and are active in teaching and research.

• 13 Labor and Delivery Rooms, including a unique Natural Birth Labor and Delivery Suite designed according to the Feng Shui philosophy

We have six professors, eight lecturers and senior lecturers, and eight instructors from the academic body of the department, which is affiliated to the Sackler School of Medicine of Tel Aviv University. The research activity covers all aspects of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine and more than 80-90 research protocols are ongoing at any given time.

The staff of the department is actively involved in postgraduate education for residents, in teaching clinical clerks of the Sackler Faculty of Medicine of the Tel Aviv University and its New York Program and in giving courses for nurses. Currently, we have 21 residents who rotate through the various units of the department according to a pre-planned 6-years residency program.
